Alex, I am not very happy with the low light focusing of that particular lens. Some users at dpreview.com reported that if you back up from the widest angle and the most telephoto (that is, isntead of 28mm, use 29-30mm, and do not zoom in fully), then it improves the focus with that lens.
Personally, it works fine on my Elan II bnut then it has focus assist beam. The D60 I have has problems with this lens... > Overall EOS-3 handling is really joy, however some quick > tests have somewhat > clouded my feelings. > EOS-3 AF abilities in low-light seems to be considerably > lesser then these > of Minolta 7, and even "ancient" 800si was able to lock > securely (after some > slight hunting) on the subject at which the EOS-3 wasn't able > to lock at > all. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
