I made one portrait of my wife at f/2.8 by Sigma 70-200/2.8 APO EX (by
Minolta though) - fantastic results, however step back considerably (for
this kind of lens 7-10m are good)

Not to mention the status of that great big white phallic symbol!

One wonders just how many saleable shots were actually taken at F2.8
on these lenses. I always found this aperture give too shallow a DOF
for a face. You can get maybe the nose in focus...
