Ok, just ordered one myself. I sent an email to Brenda and got a response from Clinton Nye. I tried calling the number this morning (800-879-3355 x84520) and it was so busy the system would just kick you off after telling you that all the voice mail boxes were full. It only took them about 15-20 minutes to call me back after I emailed them, so I didn't have to sit around waiting forever. In my email I told them what I wanted to order (part number A0166172) and that I knew there was a 10% discount. When they called me all he needed was my information and it was all done in less than 5 minutes. Very easy way to spend $1170... :)

At $1169.95 this lens was a steal and they know it. Clinton told me that they realized the profit margin was small, but in the computer industry they are used to dealing that way. Quantity of a small margin can still mean large profit. It ships on or before 10/7 if you are interested.
