Hi Gerard,

My 420EX, 550EX exhibit SCR lock up. And, of course, this function is
already built into the Sigma/Vivitar units, so they do not lock up.

I still keep an old 430EZ that does not lock up with an optical slave
trigger. If I was starting over, I should have bought a Sunpak 383 Super
instead (tilt/swivel, 3 autoexposure modes, 5 manual power levels)

P.S. Why did you get the ST-E2? It is limited (A:B, auto only) in mastering
potential compared to a 550EX (A:B:C, auto, manual, multi). Even a Sigma EF
500 Super would have been a better choice. The clincher for me was the 2CR5
battery requirement.
