Btw, has anyone ever seen actual proof of the claim that digital
sensors result in quality loss in the corners with these extreme wide-
angles? (because the individual sensors have little lenses on top, to
accumulate light, which works best at an perpendicular angle)
Since the 1Ds is the only one to fully use these corners, I would
have expected a more general consensus that this quality loss is
indeed a fact....but until now I have the impression that it is more
theory, perhaps only valid at even higher pixel-densities?
Or: does the frequently made claim that the 1Ds creates sharper
images 35mm film, or even better than 6x7 camera, _still hold true_
for these extreme wide angles?
(can only compare 35mm film with 35mm full-frame sensor of course,
there are no equivalent 6x7 wide-angles, at least not SLR)
