Based on the links on the www.dpreview.com site: Interesting to note the new EF70-300 DO lens is NOT an L lens (looks like plastic barrel construction).
Also interesting to note the new EF28-300L is NOT compatible with the Canon teleconverters, I wonder if this has to do with protruding rear element again? And if so would the 3rd party pro grade teleconverters work? Too bad there isn't a super wide angle short zoom lens. Now if I can just round up that US$4,500 for the 1D MK II.......
