Thanks for the green ring info, having never seen the 400 in person I hadn't
noticed that. Does the 400mm have the "Diffractive Optics" band on its body
like the new 70-300mm?

And besides the silver 24-85mm lens that was made for the IX/Ixe, Canon also
made a similar grey 35-135mm USM lens to match its' 10th anniversary EOS 10.
