I do not believe a lens makes a difference in the feel of a photo. But
they certainly do in the feel to the photographer of the taking, and
that can make a difference.

I question if going from 1.8 to 1.2 will make any real difference. I
know for a fact, that 1.2 is way too shallow for any type of portrait.
But hey, if you've got money to burn, burn it and enjoy.

May I suggest the 50/1.4 as an alternative, for full body shots. And
after you go digital it'll become your 85/1.4 :-)
