It is removable and useable in cameras. The plus with the unobtainable Muvo, apart from the $50 saving, is that it is possible to install a 1GB Microdrive or certain CF cards and have it back up and running as an MP3 player. So far this has been impossible with the iPod. But at $250 it is still half the price of a retail 4GB MD. According to numerous geeks at dpreview, if formatted in camera FAT32 (thus 4k clusters) the drive is quite slow. Some have formatted on their PC to 32K clusters and this seems to improve speed. A little while ago Bambang reported near identical performance to a 1GB Microdrive and his CF card, presumably formatted in camera? As before, if you want to try for the iPod route email me off list.
