I have both. I'm selling the 2X and buying a Kenko 1.5x. I have
managed to get a few decently sharp photos with it, but it's not easy.
The biggest problem is it's 1280mm eqiv. And it's tough focusing too,
it's a bit dark. So I'd not recommend this.

I tested my Kenko MC7 2x against it, and was surprised that there's
not that much difference.

BTW, No AF with any Canon extender, but with a Kenko 1.5x I can get AF
in decent light.
