The only common element in the compatibility issues are teh Eye focus control. The EOS IIe, which I believe was the EOS 50e outside North America, was the first to experience compatibility issues. Then the EOS3, and later the EOS 7e. I do not believe the 1V had issues. The Sigma lenses that are affected are only the non-HSM lenses. Their HSM lenses apparently use a different chip set that does not experience incompatibility issues. Tokina has also had issues, all related to ECF.
