One would have to choose some arbitrary factors anyway, like pixel-
number (and ignoring any other quality, since they can't be crunched
into decent numbers (like D-range/noise for scanners)).
But it would also have to include the per-model price-drop from first
launch until it's very last list-price (shop sale-out would be too
tricky/erratic I guess).
Also nice would be a reference to the price of its analog/film
brother, as a 'mechanical base price', showing the additional value
of the chip, or perhaps even additional loss.
An Ebay-database of prices would show some interesting curves too I
guess....:))
