I just bought a CF card reader, PCMCIA type. You can leave it in the laptop at all times. Might be a solution for you. As to not seeing the 10d in explorer, all I can say is when I tried it once, it worked. Maybe the firmware update changed it. When you plug the 10d USB cable in, does the computer sense it? You should hear a sound and some activity. Have you installed it from the Canon CD? That might be the key, I can't remember if I did that or not but I read somewhere that it's needed. -- Need a brighter headlight the safe way?
