You can also set the second camera body to start taking pictures at a much higher # than the first one, though the other solutions (prefixing the file names) are probably better. It would be nice if Canon allowed you to specify a file name prefix for your files in-camera.
You can with the 1D series cameras. The plebian 10D and below don't have this. :-(
