At this point, I guess it's moot since DSLR's are still priced way higher than the 35mm equivalent, so it doesn't seem like a normal tradeoff. I think the way of the future is to go smaller and lighter and that APS-C sensors are here to stay around. I guess it all depends on the consumer reaction to the current EF-S lenses.
