With due respect:
Move = Copy + Delete On Completion. It has to be a
transaction per file moved. How else would one
implement a move (or cut->paste) command ?

The same is likely to happen while doing a copy as
well

Same as "Move"ing a file

The only advantage I see here is that there's no need
to remove the card from the camera. In that case there
is less likely any static discharge (from hands) or
other mechanical/stress related factor.
