Thanks Jim. Unless I can find a DIY circuit for this that's proven to work I think I may have to splurge for the charger. The only alternativce might be to find another charger designed to charge a battery pack with 12 cells. I'm guessing that's what this one has since I can't think of any other way to come up with 12 volts. Wish me luck! Javier
