Really would be nice if you posted a link to some of these images so we can see what you're talking about.

Subject: R: EOS My stuff and wedding - First test

Writing here again :)
I tested my skill on the church ground..
Ok about the setting:

The church (actually a temple) is round and this give me a lot of movement
possibility without interfering in any way to the ceremony, but
unfortunately for me is really dark (especially the spot in witch the bride
and the groom will be)...
Now tried different shots, using 17-85 EFS and speedlite 580ex with my 350D:

Very good focus and FOV, not worried about this, the problem instead is
light... Tested with a friend dressed in white for the occasion. Ok the
background is dark... Direct flash light and E-TTL II work very well, but
the primary subject in with is much more WHITE than all the background,
tried bouncing up (60-75°) but the ceiling is really high..
So I tried the catching panel (don't know its name in English, the white
part of reflective plastic that extends up from the flash)...
Results are a little better, but the main subject is just a little
underexposed...

Tried then to set the speedlite to +2/3 exp compensation and shot a series
of FEB shots...
Doesn't seem too bad...
I'm considering a Stofen Omni Bounce...

What do you think about it?

Then shot some close ups of the model face with the 70-300... Considering
the swap of this two lens only once during the ceremony, after I've seen the
"timetable" :)...

At last shot some good pictures with the 50mm...
Still I think I'm keeping it on the film body as backup and use it to take
some sharp shots after the wedding...

Ah... In the church there were artificial lighting, the next time I come up
there I will ask the priest to light all the lights on...

Thanks for any reply and be clement!!! :)

Bye

Marco
