I missed the original email as well... 

I have IXUS 65, love it. I would've bought Ixus 800 IS if it would've
been available at the time (so I recommended it to a friend of mine who
bought it). For a P&S, it is great. No to compare it with EOS. Very fast
startup time, BIIIG screen, small size. :) Nice.

What I miss though is the battery indicator. It has no indicator of
batery status, so when it is empty, it is empty. You can prepare for it.
