Now that we know what Cotty does in his spare time...... I also bought the 70-200 L IS earlier this year, not only are the images razor sharp and allows me those super low light setting without using a flash, I am also amazed by how quickly it and a 1D Mk 2 can servo track a fast moving subject, this was experienced a couple of weeks ago taking shots of a 6 year old horse (full of energy) running at full tilt about 30 feet away from the fence where I was standing, I tracked the horse when it was several hindered feet away bolting towards me parallel to the fence, he came charging at this parallel path all the way past me as I was clicking and zooming away. Almost all the shots were in focus right up until the horse was really close. My 100-400 would not have a chance focusing this quickly!
