Interesting thread. I'm interested in knowing what level of sharpeness was
set in the camera and what post-sharpening did you do. Digital images are
almost always "soft" out of the camera, a fact overlooked by many who have
just begun to shoot digital.

Anecdotal, of course, but my 3 non-L lenses are the 50mm f/1.4, the 28-135
IS and the old 75-300 IS. The first two are very good, that last is fine for
traveling light and snapshots. The 28-135 is not the 70-200 IS, but it's not
that bad, either.
