Hi Ken,

Long time no see!  I have owned all three at once and tested extensively
with them.  The f/1.8 are optically identical though the mkII is a plastic
POS BUT the color balance is more neutral compared with the mkI which is
slightly warm.  I still have the mkI and f/1.4USM and I usually use the
f/1.4USM for the AF speed and better lens blur.  The f/1.4 is comparable or
better than the f/1.8 once stopped down and IMO better than the f/1.8 for a
couple of stops until you get to about f/5.6-f/8 where they are
indistinguishable from one another.
