Thanks, Milton - I entirely agree about the Mk.II 50/1.8's terrible design.
So, no observations about IQ between the 1.8 and 1.4 versions? My reception of messages from this list is very dicey. Didn't see my own message, for example, and yours in the only one so far I've seen. Maybe it was the only one...
