If you will always be at 5 star resorts, taking taxis, and never going off the beaten path, nor going to countries of the third world, then by all means take your expensive lenses. I, however love to really get away from civilization when possible and abhor 5 star hotels. You have to ask yourself what the purpose of your vacation is and what you would need an L lens for. I mean if you won't be selling any of your photo but just want precious memories, the L lenses will simply be weighing you down and worrying you when you should be relaxing and travelling light. -- Jim Davis, Owner, Eastern Beaver Company: http://easternbeaver.com/ Motorcycle Relay Kits, Modulator Kits, Powerlet, Centech, Posi-Lock, Parts. 1988 K100RS SE ABS in Japan. 1991 ST1100 in America.
