I have the Elan 7e, with eye-control focus, but haven't used it for a
few years. Perhaps this is similar. Do any of Canon's DSLRs have
eye-control? The latest model doesn't seem to include it.

I didn't realize how much I'd miss ECF when I switched from an Elan 7e
(& 7ne) to a 20d (then a 30d). I found ECF very easy to use.
With Canon film cameras, ECF appeared on the "3/30/33" series. None of
the "1" series had it.
If Canon follow similar thinking with their digital bodies, that means
ECF probably won't show up in the "1D" series. Personally I think it'll
probably be included in a future 5D body, unless they come out with a 3D
at some point.
