The Number one Canon body of choice for sports is the 1D MK II (it has a
flash shoe on top) At 10 FPS and 35 different focus points, water and dust
seals and tons of other goodies- I rains Supreme!

What was interesting was that all the camera bodies they were using had a
flash
shoe on top, so I would guess likely they were all using 30Ds or 20Ds,
maybe
10Ds.
