Hi Steve, I use .032 safety wire to hold the jaws of each clamp together and then put the screw through how ever many clamps there are. Then the safety wire can be cut off. The wonderful gascolator setup comes to mind when you mention this, no room and two clamps that don't want to be there. Hope this helps, Pete I imagine I an not alone in this. My forney has about a kazillion (this is a canadian metic measurement) padded clamps holding control cables, fuel hoses and everything else. In many cases these clamps attach to other clamps, and in the case of my fuel hoses to and from the fuel pump, I have each hose clamped, and then a third clamp to the engine mount. Of course that means compressing about three spring clamps all at once, while trying to insert a screw and then put the nut on while holding the tongue at the right angle, then watching the entire assembly launch into space when you fail to get the nut on the first try. I would be interested in hearing some tricks others might use to get these assemblies together with a minimum of fuss. Last night, as I contemplated by fruitless work of the previous evening it occured to me that using some plain machine nuts, and assembling one clamp at a time, with a nut in between, would work. Other thoughts would be much appreciated, as I don't think my blood pressure can take this much longer.
