Friends. Does it seem wise to "recycle" 25 hour old airplane oil ...? I don't think so. It's because that oil had enough opportunities to collect the combustion by-products that you want to flush out in the first place. Aircraft engine oil is not "better" than regular oil you get at Kragen Autoparts. It is different in such that it is designed for aircraft engines. Tested in such and follows strict standards in production. The standards for automobile oil are just different. Aircraft oil is meant to run in air cooled engines. The main problem here is to withstand heat peaks that you don't see in water cooled engines. The better heat resistance is achieved by giving up on other areas where regular motor oil is better. I would think that aircraft oil leads more to deposits than automobile engine oil. That said does not mean that you ruin your tractor when you use your used aircraft oil. But I would be extra suspicious when introducing oil to a Diesel engine, that had been contaminated with combustion byproducts of a gasoline engine. You might get more carbon deposits than you would like.
