Continental Service Bulletin M47-16 covers the conversion of these
engines. Originally published on December of 1947, the bulletin
prohibited the conversion of a C 75 or C 85 to a C 90. However after
several revisions Continental issued Supplement No.1 to the Service
Bulletin on February 26, 1960. This supplement specifically allows the
conversion and identifies the changes necessary. The Service Bulletin
and Supplement No. 1 may be found at:

My undated copy of a Skyport Ercoupe Service Manual indicates on page 58
(Engine Conversion Installations) that Skyport has a FAA approved STC
for the conversion.
