One other comment on engine vibration I would like to share.

Recently, I decided to add a flexible rubber hose to the end of my crankcase
vent tube. My system is the Forney system, that leaves the crankcase fitting
, goes up and over the cylinders and down to the back of the engine
compartment, with a hole drilled to prevent the potential of freezing and
stopping up
the vent.

I added a 1/2 inch rubber hose, and fed it thru the space between the lower
cowl and the bottom of the fuselage, to vent the engine vapors into the air,
instead of into the rear of the engine compartment....

On starting the engine, I experienced a terrible vibration and noise. Then I
realized the hard rubber hose I used was just too solid ( heater hose), and
was transmitting engine vibrations to the fuselage.....

Of Course, I shut down the engine and removed the hose...... :) Problem
solved :)

I have to admit, I was quite surprised at the noise and vibrations that were
transmitted to the fuselage...

I may try a soft hose later.
