J-3 and j-5 Cubs have the rudder cables exposed. Bill

I have one other potential source other than the long lead time part from Univair. Let me know about the availability of you guard. I am most worried about the steel reinforcement plates at the moment. I will have to scrub this part of the project if I can't get them or fabricate them by Wednesday. They want my Ercoupe out of the hangar (and so do I).I was wondering if you had concerns about having the rudder control cables open in the cockpit. It probably is a silly question, since the rudders aren't very effective in the first place. My A&P/IA suggested it wasn't necessary from an airworthiness perspective.Frank NelsonN51DV - 415C--- In [email protected], "kgassert" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:>> On my Ercoupe that had rudder peddles the foot pedal was cut off and > I just used the hand break.
