John and all,

I agree with you.

Since I am an A&P-IA and it doesn't cost anything to file a 337 I prefer to
create a permanent record.

I don't file for any minor repair but when there is any doubt I do. It is too
easy to lose log books and it saves a lot of heartache later if there is a
permanent record. I always file if there is a change in weight and ballance or
electrical load which there is in this case (6 lbs. @+18 inches)

I usually call the local FSDO and ask if they want a 337, as a matter of
interest they have never said NO.

Bill

IMHO, it is a minor modification since it's included in the TCDS and
doesn'trequire any work that falls under the criteria of "major". Ergo, a log
bookentry is sufficient. John CooperSkyport Services518

PedalsI am having my mechanic install rudder pedals in my 415C. I purchased the
Univair kit. My mechanic believes that he needs to get field approval for this
mod. Any comments??Bill BuhlesN94157Yahoo! Groups Links
