John and all, I agree with you. Since I am an A&P-IA and it doesn't cost anything to file a 337 I prefer to create a permanent record. I don't file for any minor repair but when there is any doubt I do. It is too easy to lose log books and it saves a lot of heartache later if there is a permanent record. I always file if there is a change in weight and ballance or electrical load which there is in this case (6 lbs. @+18 inches) I usually call the local FSDO and ask if they want a 337, as a matter of interest they have never said NO.
