The recent Threads on the scrap Ebay plane illustrates
a new problem.

Those of us with the C or CD have seen the value of
the Aircraft rise.  But it is only a "real" value if
you plan on selling it. Otherwise, the impact is that
the costs of parts and maintenance rise.  

The Ebay plane might have been a good buy at
$1500-2000 for spare prop, gas tanks, center section,
etc.  It does not look like a good rebuild project in
an economic sense.

Personally, I like the quiet satisfaction that I can
afford to go out flying when the 15 gph plane owners
are sitting around the coffee table grumbling about
fuel.

I hope we don't outprice ourselves!
