Rick.
I think no one will buy the remnants of that plane.
It seems to have been a beautiful Aircraft though.

Beside all the yelling around the guy who is trying to cover some of his
losses, did anyone care to read the NTSB report on the the accident?

The seller states "One of the cylinders in the motor failed causing a partial
power loss", I believe him here.

The pilot stated that he had the engine come to a stand still:

What happened really?

I think the guy had a partial power loss and instead of trying to hold altitude
until he finds a suitable field he decided to get the plane down where he was.
Then he ditches it. The NTSB report mentions the engine ran 272 hours on a
Millennium Top Overhaul.
Then it states "The failure of the No. 2 exhaust, and intake valves for
undetermined reasons" Intake AND Exhaust?

I'd like to know what really caused the plane to go down.

The pilot was an airline pilot with around 20k hours. Why did he fly with a bad
performing engine? Cylinder 2 had no compression? Why.

This were my immediate questions when I read the ad on Ebay. Not that he
wanted to sell the plane as a like LSA aircraft.

The suggestive wording I forgave him, since he out priced his parts donor right
away.

Ed,Hartmut makes the valid argument that the guy is using"weasel-words." If it
got to a lawsuit action....the seller would beexamined for exactly what his
"experience" is. Is heselling for a neighbor?, or is he an experiencedairplane
broker. What did he Know - or "should haveknown?"Maybe some hare-brained
neighbor is flying his 415-Eas an LSA and he beleives it. Doesn't make it
legal, right, approved, or true. But the seller may stillbeleive it to be true.I
agree it is very misleading. But is it puffery - orfraud? Whatever the legal
point is, it is stillWRONG! The positive thing is that last I looked, no one
wasbuying!Rick--- Ed Burkhead <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:> Hartmut,> > > > How
