Guys -

As a lawyer, I can tell you that Ed is right.

Juries aren't stupid, and it's clear to me that this guy intends to make one
believe that this airplane can flown as LSA compliant. He says that "you
should be good to go". He's giving a statement that is not true.

I'd love to have this guy in a courtroom.

Ed I am not saying that a 415-E is a legal LSA.

All I am saying is that the seller is not making such statement.

Tell me where I am saying that a 415-E is LSA legal and where the seller
explicitly states his plane is LSA legal.

"According to my experience"....means nothing in court. He is thinking out
loud, "good to go as As an LSA". Suggest that the plane is similar to an
LSA.

Of course I might not master the language enough anyone could say now. But
while I agree with anyone that a 415-E is not an LSA and the seller could
just say that, he might not even know.
His wording is good enough to withstand any legal inquiry. That is all I
am saying. I just warned against blaming somebody of things he did not do.

In all his statements he always thinks: he has heard, he suggests, it
could be . etc.

Well, my mechanic told me many things too. He told me how I easily could
get 120 hp out of my C-85. So I could make a statement that my Ercoupes
engine could be capable of getting 120hp out and maybe making 130 Miles
even - indicated. NOT a lie. or ?

    Hartmut,

How can you say that “this type of aircraft . . . are or can be sport
pilot legal” when referring to a 1400 lb. gross weight 415-E that clearly
fails in meeting the definition of an LSA?

The seller may erroneously or fraudulently say with “truth” that,
“According to my experience, a new weight and balance and you should be good
to go as As a LSA”. The plane still can’t ever be legal as an LSA even with
a thousand changed weight and balance forms.
