Hey Tony: I have to disagree with John. Those weights he quoted would 
only work for a plane that was not painted,no upholostery, and had 
cloth wings. I have weighed several coupes, and with paint, metal 
wings, upholstery, and gyros you will find that they will weigh from 
920 to 965 pounds.
I actually flew a C model that belonged to a guy in Lake Wales that had 
worked hard on reducing the weight. By taking out all unnecessary 
upholstery,
replacing the horse hair in the seats with lightweight foam, and having 
the wings recovered with minimal material (no gyros or venturis) he was 
able to get the actual empty weight down to around 830 pounds.
      If the plane has been weighed in the last 10 years, you will find 
it well over 900 pounds.
