Jerry. Most of the labor extensive part of the the job can be done by anyone. Like taking care of the cowling and the baffles and even unscrewing the old cylinders.
Putting the new Pistons and rings into the cylinder should be done by someone who did that before. If you think you know what you are doing, have your A&P agree on supervising your work.
