While we are on the subject of shut-off valves, it is almost impossible for
me to reach the main valve under the fuselage tank in my Alon A2 even on
the ground I need to release my 4-point harness and slide down the seat to
get my hand on it. This presents the problem of what might happen in an
emergency.

Is it therefore practical to route the pipe from the fuselage tank valve
forward to the panel or fuselage side to a second valve, then back to the
carburettor? This would provide an emergency shut-off valve. Has anyone
done this or have details?

Alternatively is their any linkage I could add to the existing valve to
enable me to operate it only in an emergency.
