I presume you are referring to Number 1 cylinder at TDC when you
are positioning (installing) the prop??!!??

One thing you can try is to remove the spinner entirely (testing only,
of course...). Also, for minimum vibration, put the engine at TDC and
install the prop so it is horizontal. Bad for hand proping but best for
vibration.
