Hi All.... I originally installed my welts with the felt strip in the inside as well. MISTAKE.
I'm going to reinstall new welting. I understand the part about the felt going to the outside, but does the felt go on the top or the bottom of the channel, and should the felt recieve a coat of glue as well? Does the welt act in a manner to apply tension to the window? Also I'm experimenting with aluminum Chicago Fasteners instead of rivits for the fasteners along the sides. They are low profile and smooth, and can be easily replaced without accidentally enlargining the holes in the frames.
