I vividly remember my primary training in a Cessna 172 when we worked on this issue. After a "bounce" (or really more of a "ballooning") resulting from pulling back too hard on the yoke while I still had flying speed we ballooned up. (This is just as possible with a Coupe as with any other plane, I'd expect.)

The instructor caught it the first time -- then we went around and practiced it.

I was taught to "freeze" the yoke - don't push it forward, don't pull it back but add power to cushion the settling down (if that is what happens) or to effect a go-around. I think this may be a small, light plane procedure. I have no idea if this would be proper in heavy metal.

Any CFIs out there have revised advice for that situation?
