I bought TurboCad a few months ago, because I needed to start making
drawings for DynaTurn, and Russ and Phil use TC for some other work.

It takes me a lot longer to draw on the computer than with paper, and I am
doing strictly 2D work, but it is very nice to have all the drawings
available for cut and paste. There are some grid bugs with the program
that annoy me, but it was pretty cheap, so I'm not complaining much. I
have considered getting AutoCad or one of the other professional packages,
but I loathe dongle software, and I know I won't be using even a tiny
fraction of the software's capabilities.

We do need to get some tool path to G-code and path visualization software
soon, so we can start using our CNC mill once we clear the space for
it. Our first project is probably going to be making custom retaining
plates for our 5.5" ID motors that have greater open area than the
perforated metal.
