Thanks for the feedback, people. Of the suggestions, the stud request is easiest; just look in the Marine line, where there's studs galore. But, if blue clashes with your battery box and you insist on yellow, and you can live with a larger battery, there's a group 31 with staggered cells that comes with studs (75AH). As for studs on the 55AH, I've passed that up the line for an option, and it may (or may not) come to pass.
We can't seal each cell without significantly altering the battery intercell connections, which has pereformance implications so even if we granted your wish there you might not like the result. The 60/120 degree lid corners are intriguing. We live, alas, in a 90-degree world; most of our customers want rectangular tops on their batteries. (The customer for whom we developed the staggered cell deisgn I mentioned above also specifically requested a rectangular top, for example.) Still, we'll take a look at the design and see if we can sell it. There may be a market study coming soon to a neighborhood near you. The individual cell suggestion caught us all flat-footed; never once considered doing that. That one's going to take some thought. (Doncha just *hate* it when a customer comes up with a use for your product that had never entered your mind? Your first reaction is always "Now why didn't *I* think of that?" and you go kick yourself down the hall to pop machine. I mean, we'd thought of stuff like that with Inspira, just never carried it over towards Optima. The two products were so different. Or are they?) Thanks again for the ideas, folks.
