2000lbs is a guess - I think for sure it's less than 2100 (based on 2660 [weighed] - 15 x 68lb [the old batts] + 38 x 10lb [the new batts w/interconnects] = - 640 = 2020. I did add a couple boxes, but also removed old top racks and some of the larger/heavier lead acid interconnects. The coaster, sans engine, I guess is 1650lbs ... so I'm sure that's why USElectricar said back in 1980, hey, even if we add 1000 lbs we can actually make this run with only 20hp (on the flats).
