Update: So, I got the bottom screws out and the screw spacers (and the end
cap came off already), but I'm having a heck of a time getting the whole
thing out from the contactor (front) side. I've used a jewelry "saw" to cut
around the edges on the contactor side, but it doesn't want to come out at
all. Am I just not cutting down enough through the resin (I've gone down
only about 2mm or so)

Has anyone done this have any wisdom to impart? This is a 1221C-7401.

Depending on generation, end cap should just prise off, leaving the sealant behind. If it is a later one, the sealant should be a layer 1/4" or so thick that was poured so that it cured laid on the back of the end cap, it'll chip out in rubbery chunks. Scrape back around the end you are going to pull out through, as the clearance is tight, and a lip of sealant will make it hard to get out, clean edge and a clean slide out.

Once that is done, put a few of the bottom screws back in about 1/2 way, and push hard on them (starting close to one end) this will release the thermal conductive/electrically insulating sheet from between the internal heatsink and the case. If you have all the screw insulators out, the "guts" should just slide straight out at this point, nothing else to hold it there. As you start to slide it out, watch for the sheet, it may be stuck to the internals one end and the external the other, one way around means it'll be holding the internals back, the other way will fold the sheet over as you pull. If you are replacing this (and 50% or more of the time you'll need to as it de-laminated coming apart) then just rip it out, but if you want to try and re-use it, be a little careful to wiggle a thin ruler/etc through to release it.

Hope this helps, and on the EVtech discussion list there is currently discussion of a 1205 repair, might pay for you to join that discussion.
