So I finally found a little more time to dissect the Curtis. I used my angle grinder and cut around the inside edges of the very hard poured (plastic?) resin on the front of the controller. Finally it came out (IP 65 does have it's drawbacks).
I noticed right away that two black MOSFETs are totally destroyed. The next one over (with a white backing) might also be damaged, I'm not sure. I didn't see any problems with the capacitors (figures, since I already bought a few replacements), but it actually looks like an easier repair if I had two of them, plus the slightly different round one. See pictures here: http://www.evalbum.com/popupimg.php?24042 http://www.evalbum.com/popupimg.php?24043 How can I get MOSFET replacements? Two are the same, one is slightly different, though they appear to be soldered in similarly.
