I did a trailer on mine for a while. The big big pro was it was quick and easy
to do. At first I pulled a wagon, but it tipped over down a steep hill. I
switched to a dolly as a trailer. This worked better, as it put some of the
trailer weight onto the rear wheels, so I had better traction going up the
steep hills. This winter I'm making some racks, similar to the bumper hitch
racks for cars, to hold batteries. Be careful, on many lawn tractors the sheet
metal might be too thin for this idea. It'll be nice to back up more easily and
to have even more weight on the drive wheels. Because of my steep hills all the
batteries will close to the ground -- I'll have a lower c.g. than before.

Why not fit whatever batteries you can on the mower and put the rest in a small
trailer? Having the weight up front would help with hill climbing, but if you
have a relatively flat lawn/property, towing a small trailer should be no big
deal. Even better: Keep enough juice on-board for moving/hauling stuff around.
Add the small trailer only when mowing. Use a pair of those 350A Anderson
connectors to connect/disconnect the extra batteries. When not pulling the
trailer, use a second 350A connector that's nothing but a shorting block.
