Interesting, while the current charter may have seemed obsolete a few years 
ago, changes in technology make it now seem as relevant as ever.  I think you 
should leave it, though I really like the hobbyist aspect of this list. If your 
goal is is that, you ought to make changes to reflect that. Getting into 
limiting storage methods is a big mistake in my opinion. Some don't like 
inefficiency either, but it would a mistake to limit to the most efficient 
methods, too.

Perhaps the most important thing you can do is keep a civil level of discourse.
