Actually, Tesla designed the S and presumably X and 3 for quick swapping (to get around an ill-advised CA law). There is a video of them driving on and swapping 2 S's automatically in the time it takes to put gas in one Nissan ICE. The doesn't make them interchangeable, but it's not nothing.
