Never say never! EV batteries are ever larger and they're pushing range
ever closer to ICEV per-tank range. Meanwhile, high power charging has
passed the 300kW level. If the battery can handle the current, a 350kW
charger can theoretically charge a 100kWh battery from 20% to 80% in just
over 10 minutes.

Home charging is a compelling EV feature, but I can't see it as necessary
when you can charge that quickly at a public charging point.

Now, it must be said that the above is all in theory. In present practice,
the fast charge tapers or maybe never hits the advertised maximum. Existing
fast charging points are notorious for being shut down, broken, or out-of-
your-network. Cold weather and aging batteries crimp range.

Still: never say never.
